Villain Of The Peace ==================== by Glenn Shorrock I can be accusted of getting kinda lazy, letting down my partners in crime, it gets a little harder to stay enthusiastic, blame it on the passage of time. 'Round and 'round the world we go, getting high and feeling low, doing our best just to please, what can you expect at the end of the journey, the glory or a social disease ? It's getting even harder to find who's to blame, where can you run, now where can you go ? Can you put a finger on it, can you find a name ? The villain of the peace is the ego. Uh hu hu uuu ... The tension is unbearable, can it be relaxed, and is there some way outa this mess ? If this gets outa hand, the results could be terrible, open war - nothing less ! Now it's getting even harder to find who's to blame, where can you run, now where can you go ? Can you put a finger on it, can you find a name ? The villain of the peace is the ego. Stranger things sometimes happen, when you're high, high above the ground, and there's a need to plead your innocence, in a shout that's always way too loud. You try to please the boss, try to please yourself, end up pleasing blood well no-one, got to let it go, you've got to let it run its course, you can't tell a river where to run. It's getting even harder to find who's to blame, where can you run, now where can you go ? Can you put a finger on it, can you find a name ? The villain of the peace is the ego.
