Little River Band

Interviews

I guess the most thrilling thing about a tribute page for any band on the internet are interviews that stars give to their fans and the people who run the pertinent webpage. We were very fortunate to find a lot of the crucial guys of LITTE RIVER BAND'S history, and we can call ourselves lucky these guys are extremely nice to answer all the questions we had or still may have. Therefore this particular page is supposed to give you, our web-visitors, an overview of the interviews exclusively available here on'lrb.net'.

The first individual who contacted me was DEREK PELLICCI, who stayed in London with a friend around Easter 1997. They sent me a nice message, asking me to call them up, which I did ... of course ... ever since I 'lrb.net' received all the confirmed tour dates of the 1997 US tour, and a lot of other information ... before DEREK left for the US, he gave us this first web interview ...

Subsequent to that that, I received a message of Australian digital editor, MICHAEL COSTA, who worked with STEPHEN HOUSDEN, JOHN FARNHAM and many other artists and is also occasionally in touch with GRAEHAM GOBLE. I was so excited when it came to our second web interview ...

The next thrill happened in October 1997, with GLENN SHORROCK approaching us. He was very nice and also answered ten questions.

And then came, the one and only, BEEB BIRTLES! The nice guy he is he not only provided a lot of information for this website, but also answered our questions and elaborated about his years with LITTLE RIVER BAND.

In 1990 PETER BECKETT joined LRB in order to replace GRAHEM GOBLE, who left to pursue a solo career. Unfortunately we never had the chance to get in touch with PETER directly, but the website Midwestern Skies [which terminated its services in the meantime] had that chance, and allowed us to incorporate the interview with PETER'S on 'lrb.net'.

Next it was TONY SCIUTO who was willing to answer our questions about his time with LRB from 1990 to 1997. Tony was a major addition to the band's live sound, playing keyboards and guitars and doing some vocals. TONY has also joined PETER BECKETT and DEREK PELLICCI composing Worldwide Love.

After LITTLE RIVER BAND needed to be regrouped at the beginning of 1998, everyone was eager to hear from STEPHEN HOUSDEN about the band's future, and to read his long-awaited interview. Here comes the guitar-man of LITTLE RIVER BAND, who joined in 1981.

Being the hardcore fan of GRAEHAM GOBLE'S pet project BROKEN VOICES that I am, it was exciting to get in touch with SUSIE AHERN, the female lead singer of the project. SUSIE also answered our interview questions and revealed some details about the collaboration with GRAEHAM and STEPHEN.
