Beeb Birtles & Graeham Goble - The Last Romance
1979
After the successful release of 'First Under The Wire', BEEB BIRTLES and GRAEHAM GOBLE had composed so many songs that had not been used by LRB and were very keen to be put out as a duo. They decided to produce this album, opening with the fantastic Lonely Lives. The album comes quite romantic and slow, so in my opinion it was a good decision not to have these songs released as LRB material. There is a special quality between BEEB and GRAEHAM only heard on this recording and on the song I Don't Worry No More from the 'Backstage Pass' release. In the meantime the album was [thankfully] re-released on CD in 1997. LRB members such as DAVID BRIGGS on guitars, GEORGE McARDLE on bass and DEREK PELLICCI on drums joined the two in the studio, together with other session musicians. Glenn Shorrock - Villain Of The Peace
1983
The first release of GLENN SHORROCK as a solo singer, after having left LRB in 1982. This album, produced by long-time LITTLE RIVER BAND producer JOHN BOYLAN sounds very much like the band, which emphasizes SHORROCK'S qualities as a songwriter for the group and his contribution to the successful LRB sound. re-issued 1996
This is the Australian CD version of GLENN'S solo album. When I received it I was tremendously surprised to see this CD wasn't the exact copy of the vinyl album. They've put three songs on it, that didn't appear to be on the vinyl. Summer In The City, Martinique, and Do It Anyway. Til I Loved You and Haunting Me were deleted.
I can't find a reason why they didn't include all the songs herein! But one of the best sources for Australian rock music, STEFAN WARNQUIST, tried to give an explanation. Read, what STEFAN thinks this is all about.

Original soundtrack - Savage Streets
1984
After the release of 'Playing To Win' JOHN FARNHAM and bassist/singer WAYNE NELSON were collaborating on this soundtrack to the movie starring LINDA BLAIR. The opener, Justice For One still appears to be one of JOHN FARNHAM'S biggest successes ever and therefore was also made available on his 'Anothology release'. Original Soundtrack - Savage Streets
Glenn Shorrock - The First 20 Years
1985
A compilation of GLENN'S most important songs, starting with tracks of THE TWILIGHTS and AXIOM, some of his solo recordings, the most successful stuff he did with LITTLE RIVER BAND and the late solo efforts like Dream Lover or the cover of the BEATLES song Paperback Writer.

Peter Beckett - Beckett
1991
Later replacing GRAEHAM GOBLE in the band, this album shows PETER BECKETT, formerly a member of the band PLAYER [who shared the same management as LRB] with his solo album 'Beckett'. PETER is also known as the co-composer of the worldwide smash Baby Come Back. Using WAYNE NELSON on bass and backing vocals, this album comes quite heavy. The song The Bottom Line was later re-recorded by LITTLE RIVER BAND and released as the B-side of the Worldwide Love single. Beckett
The Graham Goble Encounter - Nautilus
1993
This album brings back GRAEHAM GOBLE with a different, modernized sound. If you know the BIRTLES & GOBLE album you probably wouldn't have expected such an updated sound. But the new, powerful and commercially polished rock sound works great together with the new voice, STEVE WADE. I consider him and his voice to be as interesting as JOHN FARNHAM. GRAHAM also recruited LRB guitarist STEPHEN HOUSDEN, but did most of the sequencing and programming himself. Once again, GOBLE proves his unique ability to adjust and develop an approach to the taste of the market. I Can't Eat, Can't Sleep gained some success as a single, but my personal favorite is the emotional She Tells You, You Tell Me. The Graeham Goble Encounter - Nautilus
Glenn Shorrock & Brian Cadd - Blazing Salads
1994
After finishing the '92 world tour with LITTLE RIVER BAND, GLENN SHORROCK went together with his old friend BRIAN CADD, formerly a member of AXIOM, where GLENN had been the lead singer from 1969 to 1971. This BLAZING SALADS album sounds as western as GLENN'S first solo album release. It also contains the LRB title My Own Way Home, which was previously known as a studio recording from the 'Live Classics' album. Former LRB sideman RICHARD BRYANT and [then] ex- member WAYNE NELSON also joined these sessions. The sleeve notes read: "Glenn would like to thank Brian for showing him another way !" Maybe that's what friends are for.

Stephen Housden - New World Groove
1994
When the 1992 world tour was finished, all members of the band obviously went their separate ways for some time. And so did STEPHEN HOUSDEN, as this album release shows. Actually solely an instrumental album, this CD plainly exposes his stunning guitar technique and composing styles. STEPHEN includes Celtic influences from him mother-country, England. DEREK PELLICCI shows up as a guest musician on the drums as well as percussionist ALEX PERTOUT, who can also be heard on GRAHAM GOBLE'S solo recordings.

Tempted - Tempted
1994
Hey ... STEVE WADE'S funky project TEMPTED! A three man band, where STEVE plays the guitars and does the lead vocals. His sidemen are drummer GEORGE SERVANIS and keyboarder ANTHONY TOSTI-GUERRA. I'd like to compare the sound of these recordings with the famous POWER STATION, that's how funky it is!
I guess, with this recording it's obvious that STVE WADE is a highly competent musician with excellent songwriting and vocal qualities. Hey STEVE, whatever happened to TEMPTED?

bONEhEAD - Genius
1995
After a bunch of solo releases in the '80s this is TONY SCIUTO'S first solo effort for a long time, teaming up with his brother MICHAEL on bass and various other musicians, who later spawned BANGING RUSH. Many of the songs of the 1997 release 'Holiday In Eden' originated from tracks of 'Genius'. Other than that, three songs included herein were deleted for the follow-up album. Listen to the wonderful acoustic version of Mickey Mantle ... TONY almost unplugged ! bONEhEAD - Genius
Player - Electric Shadow
1995
For me, it was pretty surprising to find this CD. Obviously LITTLE RIVER BAND were on a low point in 1995, and PETER BECKETT got together with his long time pal RONN MOSS for a reunion of their old band PLAYER. The album had some success in Japan. This album doesn't sound very much like our LITTLE RIVER BAND at all, but it's a highly recommended adult oriented rock album with some very good compositions. It also includes a re-recording of PETER'S big success Baby Come Back. No other LRB member joined the two on this recording. Player - Electric Shadow
Graeham Goble - Stop
1995
The second release of GRAEHAM GOBLE after leaving the band again proves him to be an oustanding composer. Please Don't Ask Me initiated on JOHN FARNHAM'S 'Uncovered' album [and was also releases as a LRB version on 'Too Late To Load']. Listen to this fantastic version of Time And Eternity which was also originally from the 'Get Lucky' album! Graham Goble - Stop
Think Out Loud - Shelf Life
1997
This is the recent release I have heard of from PETER BECKETT. Together with famous U.S. guitarist and songwriter STEVE KIPNER both united on this project called THINK OUT LOUD. It's typically American mainstream with very interesting compositions and a polished charts sound. It contains the single hit Invisible Man. Can't tell you much about the musicians, as there is no credit information included. When did the guys record this album? Right before the big LITTLE RIVER BAND U.S. tour 1997 when PETER joined the group again? Think Out Loud - Shelf Life
Banging Rush - Holiday In Eden
1997
Hard rock at its best! Still, many fans write to me, asking me about TONY. I have personally never seen him perform with LITTLE RIVER BAND but this release shows that he is an excellent producer, songwriter and band leader. Having written all the songs [except for the THE DOORS classic 'Light My Fire'] TONY rocks off like LRB did on 'Playing To Win'. Maybe this album is more American mainstream, but its a good proof of who TONY SCIUTO really is. Banging Rush - Holiday In Eden
Broken Voices
1997
recorded 1990/1991
After years of waiting, Thoughtscape Sounds released GRAHAM GOBLE'S 1991 tapes of his BROKEN VOICES project. When listening to these songs it becomes obvious that it's a GRAHAM GOBLE release, but you can also hear STEPHEN'S Celtic influences with the guitar playing. And SUSIE AHERN is truly a great and gifted singer.
What I feel is unusual is the sort of bombastic sound this production comes along with, but I guess that's a matter of taste. For me, it was one of my personal favorites in 1997.

Graeham Goble - The New Nautilus
(limited edition)
1999
Simply using his own name GRAHAM GOBLE released this limited edition of his 1993 record. The song list is a little different to the initial CD release, the well-known LRB tune Full Circle and the song I've Been Broken were replaced by Restless Heart (a song that also appeared on the Broken Voices album) and I've Found You. Graeham Goble - The New Nautilus
Graham Goble - Stop
(limited edition)
1999
This re-release is equal to its original, the song list is absolutely the same. I have no idea whether remixes were made for this edition, I can't make out a difference at all. I prefer this cover layout to the original. Graham Goble - Stop
Beeb Birtles - Driven By Dreams
1999
Shortly prior to his 50th birthday BEEB BIRTLES released his first solo recording since terminating his LITTLE RIVER BAND membership back in 1984. In the early 90s he moved to the US to live in Nashville, where he has started to work with famous producer BILL CUOMO. Since its release 'Driven By Dreams' is regarded one of the most interesting and best releases that are affiliated with the LRB sound.

Glenn Shorrock - Spin Me Round
2000
After almost six years GLENN finally reappeared on the marked with his new album, recorded at BRIAN CADD'S 'Ginger Man Studio'. Unfortunately only a small selection of the songs contained on this album are actually new recordings. Most of these songs are the result of a call put out by GLENN and BRIAN back in 1995 to publishers in Nashville in order to sight new material for a planned LITLE RIVER BAND recording in 1995. Other then these new track 'Spin Me 'Round' also contains cuts from GLENN'S LRB days and his first solo album 'Villain Of The Peace'. Glenn Shorrock - Spin Me Round
Glenn Shorrock & Brian Cadd - Orchestra Of Grunt
2000
I'm not sure when this Maxi-CD was put on the market exactly, but Orchestra Of Grunt was released in the same year as GLENN'S latest solo album, 'Spin Me 'Round'. Orchestra Of Grunt is a pretty heavy song, and the cover states it's 'the definitive anthem for Australian Motor Racing. It combines race, drag, rally, bikes and street cars with special assistance of the drivers mentioned.' This MCD contains two mix versions, a Rev Head Radio Mix and an Exhausted Mix. The composition wasn't penned by either GLENN or BRIAN CADD, but by SCOTT COOPER and CRAIG ROSS.

Steve Wade - Steve Wade
2001
After terminating his membership with LITTLE RIVER BAND, lead singer #3 STEVE WADE eventually released his self-titled solo album. This release is especially interesting for LRB fans who have seen the band on their live appearances between 1996 and 2000 due to the fact that they would often perform STEVE'S song Some People Never Learn which is also contained on this release. The album was co-produced by STEVE and his former TEMPTED band mate ANTHONY TOSTI-GUERRA.
